uttama nirmāṇakāya [alt. parama nirmāṇakāya] (T. mchog gi sprul sku; C. shanghua shen 上化身).[1] Translated as "supreme nirmanakaya," "supreme emanation body," etc. This refers to a nirmanakaya emanation who appears in the world as a fully enlightened buddha enacting the twelve deeds (or the eight episodes) of a buddha.[1][2]

The supreme nirmanaka emanation is endowed with the major marks and minor marks of a buddha.[1]

Buddha Shakyamuni is an example of a supreme nirmanakaya.
