Siming shi yi shu (J. Shimei jūgisho; K. Samyŏng sibŭi sŏ 四明十義書). In Chinese, “Siming’s Letters on Ten Issues”. A collection of letters compiled by Siming Zhili of the Tiantai zong and edited together in 1006.[1] Also abbreviated as Shi yi shu (十義書).[2]
In the text, Zhili is critical of Wuenʼs (晤恩) commentary on Zhiyiʼs Jin guangming jing xuanyi (金光明經玄義), itself a commentary on the Golden Light Sutra. This criticism caused a backlash from the Off-mountain branch 山外 of the Tiantai zong and a schism with Zhiliʼs Mountain branch 山家.[2]
