Jowo Mikyö Dorje (T. jo bo mi bskyod rdo rje) is a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha believed to be similar to him in his eighth year of age.[1] The statue was brought to Tibet from Nepal by Princess Bhrikuti on the occasion of her marriage to King Songtsen Gampo.[1][2] Originally housed in the Jokhang temple, it was later installed as the central image in the Ramoche temple, in Lhasa.[2]

Together with the Jowo Shakyamuni, it is one of the most sacred statues in Tibet.
