84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha, is a non-profit organization dedicated to translating the Tibetan Buddhist canon and making it freely accessible for all.[1]

Specifically, this means translating the Tibetan Kangyur and Tengyur from classical Tibetan into modern English.

This organization was founded by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. The organization's name comes from the 84,000 methods Buddha is said to have taught as a way to attain true peace and freedom from suffering.
